3.3.1. Inspection of mechanical stop, axis 1

Inspection
The procedure below details how to inspect the mechanical stop on axis 1
If the mechanical stop has been deformed after a hard collision, it must be replaced!
Action Info/Illustration
1.
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic
pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the air
pressure to motors and SMB.
2. Check regularly that the pin is not bent or damaged in
any other way.
If bent/damaged, the pin must be replaced by a new
one.
Removal/refitting of the
mechanical stop is detailed
in section Replacement of
mechanical stop pin, axis 1
on page 186.
3. Also check that the pin is properly attached.
