2 Getting Started
2.2.1 Logout / Shutdown
There are three ways for you to log out or shut down.
To log out using the menu option:
1. In the Main Menu, click the Shutdown button. The SHUTDOWN dialog appears.

2. Use the drop-down list to select the desired option:
• Shutdown. System shuts down and turns off power.
• Logout. The Log out menu appears. Enter the username and password to complete the
operation.
• Restart. Click to reboot the device.
To log out using the Power button:
Press the Power button on the front panel or remote control for at least 3 seconds. This
method requires that you enter the username and password to complete the operation.
To log out using the Power switch:
Toggle the Power switch on the rear panel to turn off the NVR. This method does not require that
you enter the username and password to complete the operation.
