Conditioning procedure for the X-ray tube
If the X-ray tube has not been used for more than a week or if exposure
techniques are to be used with energies above 120 kV, it is recommended to
perform the conditioning procedure for the X-ray tube.
A sequence of gradually increasing loads on the X-ray tube will cause a
redistribution of the electrical charges inside the tube, which in turn will
result in a stable output of the tube.
The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
