5 Troubleshooting
Camera Condensation
An instrument with Purge Gas turned off will also be subject to the possibility of the
condensation forming on the camera window especially if the cooling water is left on (Camera
will be at -40°C).
To verify if this is a problem run the “Camera Test” on “Tests” Page (Figure 20.) to see if the
Camera Test fails (Figure 21.). If the test fails a Condenstation Removal routine will be
exercised. This will boost purge the optics with Camera Cooling off to remove any unwanted
moisture (Figure 23.).
Alternatively, switch off the plasma and using Polyalign software, switch on the diagnostic LED
and run a camera scan with 10mS integrate time. Any moisture will show up as random peaks
(Figure 22.).
