13 Slide the card in and out of the slot (perpendicular to the top) to remove any
deposits that may be present.
a Ensure the ends of the slot are also cleaned.

If the deposits are baked on hard, their removal may require some effort, and
several cards may be required.
Under no circumstances should a metal strip or implement be used on or in
the burner slot as it will scratch the surface and promote the rapid buildup of
carbon or other solids.
14 Place some metal polishing liquid on the card and polish the outer surfaces
along the top of the burner slot.
