15 Rinse the burner with distilled water.
16 Wash and rinse the burner with a diluted 10% v/v solution of an alkali
detergent to remove any traces of the metal polishing liquid.
17 Dry the burner. Use compressed air to fasten the drying process.
The top of the burner slot should be clean and shiny to indicate that all deposits
have been cleaned off.
18 If necessary, repeat some or all the previous steps until the burner slot is
clean.

Burners cannot be refurbished and must be replaced when the maximum slot
widths are exceeded.
NOTE
For applications with high deposits, additional burner cleaning procedures are
recommended. Contact your Agilent customer support representative for
recommendations.
