As the screen shows, all sounds contained in the SET file will be
separated into individual sounds and added to the sound memory.
When <Proceed> is pressed, two additional screens are pre-
sented:
========= Load V2 SET/ST1 File =========
Each soundÕs pad assignment must be
converted to a MIDI note number using
the editable table in the next screen.
To standardize note-to-instrument
assignments, use general MIDI numbers.

========================================
<Load file>
In MPC60 version 2 SET or ST1 files, sounds were assigned to one
of 32 pad names (HIHT-CLSD, HIHT-MEDM, HIHT-OPEN, SNR1,
SNR2 ... DR15, and DR16.) In the MPC3000, SET and ST1 files are
not used. Instead, programs are used to hold sound assignments.
But in programs, sounds are assigned to one of 64 note numbers (35-
98) instead of to pad names. Therefore, in order to load the SET or
ST1 file, these pad assignments must be converted to note number
assignments. This is done automatically when <Load file> is
pressed in the screen above. Assignments are made according to the
conversion table displayed in the lower part of the screen. The
conversion table consists of two fields:
• The MPC60 pad field:
Select one of the 32 MPC60 pad names in this field. For
convenience, the pad number is shown to the right.
