FREERN – On or off. If you want the LFOs to freely run, turn this on.
4.6 to enable freerunning lfos:
Go to TRIGGER menu of the LFO.
Set Enable to Off.
VOXTRG to On Vox.
FREERN to ON.
4.7 about lfo triggers:
LFOs can reset their phase position every time a Trigger occurs by Enabling Trigger and
selecting the desired Source and Level. You can determine the initial Phase with precision on
the Wave page, using Soft Pot 4
4.8 vibrato:
Enable Mod 1 on each Oscillator and the Mod Wheel will then control the amount of LFO 1
to the Osc.
This is a good example of how Croutes work. The Croute for the mod wheel can be found by
going to the MOD ASSIGN button and displaying the CROUTE screen. Mod 1 for the
Oscillators is preset to go from LFO 1 (it can be switched to whatever level you like). It is the
CROUTE that controls the actual level. To disable mod wheel modulation entirely you set
this CROUTE to 0. To enable more vibrato, increase the amount of the CROUTE modulation.
To make the wheel do something else (like, say, modulate FM), change the modulation of
MOD 1.
This can be used to great effect!
4.9 s&h trigger modes:
TRGSMP This is handy if you want to have a sample held until the next trigger comes
along. For instance, setting this and VOXTRG means a random sample is held per note
good for random panning.
VOXTRG If this is set to off, you are forced to choose a trigger source that recycles the
S&H waveform. This could be handy if you want the LFO to start above certain key ranges,
etc.
4.10 global s&h:
The default is Voice Random, which is a digital noise signal that has a different value per
note. Use Global Noise if you want the same value each time a gate occurs.
4.11 s&h once per keypress:
TRIG ON and TRGSMP: -ON-, the S/H will sample once per Trig. With Vox Key On Vel as
the Trig Source, a new sample will be generated upon each keypress.
4.12 lfo sync and the bpm knob:
From Colin:
Can someone please explain to me how exactly my lfo is synced with my midi tempo? (I use
cubase as a sequencer) I don't understand why if I change the rate of the lfo it always keeps in
