CHANGING THE SAFETY
SETTINGS
Press the "SAFETY SETTINGS" button on the left hand side of the screen to display the
"SAFETY SETTINGS" screen. These settings are used to protect the operator and to
protect the Force Tester and fixtures.
4.5
GRIP
PROTECTION
The Force Tester will always stop if the tensile or compressive force exceeds the load cell
capacity. This is to protect the load cell and frame from excessive forces. This value may
need to be reduced for special applications where the grip/fixture may not be able to
withstand the maximum force value.
To reduce the maximum force that can be applied, reduce the Grip Protection value as
required. To change the value, press on the "GRIP PROTECTION" entry area to display a
numerical keypad.
