engine
Check tightness of the cooling circuit. Check the circuit
for damaged hoses and for missing hose clips.
Check whether the oil cooler gills and the engine
radiator gills are not clogged. In case of clogged gills
clean them for instance by blowing the radiators throu-
gh with pressure air (steam or warm water) according
to chapter 3.6.36.
3.6.15. Checking batteries
Place the roller onto flat, firm surface.
Stop the engine and disconnect the electric system
using the isolating master switch.
Clean the surface of batteries.
Check the condition of poles and terminals (1) and
clean them. Slightly wipe terminals with grease.
Check the level of electrolyte after opening plugs of the
battery cells (2) - the level of electrolyte in all cells
should be 5 - 15 mm (0.2-0.6 in) above the plates, or
to the lower edge of the gauge in the battery cells. Refill
the cells whose electrolyte level is lower, than 5 mm
(0.2 in) above the plates, with distilled water.
Measure electrolyte density in the individual cells
using a refractometer
