3.6.19. Checking oil in gearboxes
Axle gearbox
• Stop the machine on even, firm surface in order that the
gearbox plugs of both wheels are in the position
according to fig.
• Clean the area around the checking plug (1).
• Unscrew the plug (1) and check the oil level. The oil
level must reach the checking opening or slightly flow
out.
• Refill oil through the filling plug (2), if necessary.
• Clean the plugs and mount again.
Drum gearbox
• Clean the area around the checking plug (1).
• Unscrew the plug (1) and check the oil level. The oil
level must reach the checking opening or slightly flow
out.
• After disassembly the cover (1).
• Refill oil through the filling plug (2), if necessary.
• Clean the plugs and mount again.
• Check tightness of the gearboxes.
! NOTE !
The plugs are located on the static part of the
gearbox - they do not rotate during driving.
Do not touch the gearbox and adjacent
parts if they are hot.
