Access Levels and Administrator Tasks 7
STERRAD VELOCITY Reader Users Guide 37
Chapter 7.
Access Levels and
Administrator Tasks
Users with Administrator-level access privileges (see below) are permitted
to perform a set of restricted reader functions. These functions are not used in daily
reader operation and some of the functions are designed to control access, manage
reader records, and perform advanced diagnostic troubleshooting.
Access Levels
There are three levels of access available. Each is associated with a different
subset of permitted operations. The reader gives Operator-level access to all users.
Operators enter their name when prompted to gain access.
Operator-level access permits a user to perform tasks associated with the daily
operation of the reader. These privileges allow an operator to:
Select, start, and cancel a reading.
Scan the BI, and enter sterilization cycle information.
Accept results, and view content in the Utilities Menu.
Print result summaries, view result summary history les, and add notes.
An account with Administrator-level access is created in the Utilities Menu under
the Manage Admin button. Here an operator with Administrator-level access can create
and maintain administrator accounts.
Administrator-level access includes all of the privileges of Operator-level
access and additionally provides the ability to:
Add, delete, and modify administrator accounts.
Select, view, and print all reader les.
Run diagnostic tests and print reports.
Set date and time.
Edit System Conguration.
