Control Alerts
In the Utilities Menu touch Control Alerts. The Control Alerts utility is used to
determine the positive control BI request frequency. The reader is congured to request
a new positive control every 24 hours. The user congurable control alert default and
maximum time period is 24 hours. This time period can be changed so that the reader
will request a positive control more often.
The Chemical Indicator Color Change toggle switch allows the user to stop the
software from asking if the CI has changed color on a positive control BI. The chemical
indicator only changes color when exposed to hydrogen peroxide or other oxidizers, and
if stored properly the positive control BI’s chemical indicator should not have changed
color. Follow the applicable hospital or healthcare facility policy regarding control
chemical indicator color change documentation.
