Control Chemical Indicator Color Change
Configuration Setup
The chemical indicator (CI) on the biological indicator (BI) cap changes color from
red/pink to yellow to indicate the BI has been exposed to hydrogen peroxide. The CI on
a control BI should remain red because it does not go through a STERRAD Sterilization
Cycle and has not been exposed to hydrogen peroxide.
Touch Yes if it is customary for the department to conrm CI color change for a
control BI. Otherwise touch No. Touch Next to continue or touch Back to return to the
previous screen.
Printer Setup
A printer can be attached via a USB port if desired. Attach the printer to a USB
port and select the Port Location from the drop down menu. The reader will display a
loading screen while it detects the printer. Touch Test Print to print a test page. Check
the test page to conrm that the printer is congured correctly. Touch Next to continue
or touch Back to return to the previous screen.
Setup Complete
The setup is now complete. Touch Done for the system to begin the warm-up
sequence. After the warm-up sequence the reader is ready for use.
