8.8.4 Washing the dispensing group
Those in possession of the “AL” version of the ma-
chine, must not perform the group wash operation.
Wash the dispensing groups on a daily basis.
The coffee dispensing wash method is different for each ma-
chinetype.Theinstructionsspecictothemodelbeingused
must be followed.
In any case, before starting the wash operation, the lter
holder must be prepared as described below:
• Removethelterfromthelterholderandtablindlter
(see the standard supplied parts).
• Pour the specic cleaner into the lter holder with the
blindlterandhookittothedispensinggroup.
Fromhereon,followtheinstructionsspecictoyourmachine.
“AEP” version
• Carry out several dispensing cycles until the water comes
out clean.
• Remove the lter holder from the group and carry out
at least one dispensing cycle in order to eliminate any
cleaner residues.
• Removetheblindlterfromthelterholderandreplaceit
with the original one.
“SAE-DISPLAY” version
• On the pushbutton panel of the group being washed, si-
multaneously hold down the following buttons (
and
).
• Waitforthe5automaticrinsecycletocompletelynish
(this takes roughly 30 seconds).
• Remove the lter holder and press the
button to
start the approx. 30-second rinsing cycle.
8.8.5 Cleaning the group shower screen,
shower screen containment ring and
lter holder
Daily
Cleanthedispensinggroupandlterholdershowerscreens
with the supplied brush on a daily basis.
Thoroughly clean the inside of the coupling ring and lter
holder,aswellastheedgeandthewingsofthelterholder,
so as to eliminate any accumulated coffee residues.
Use the special brush supplied (see the Spare Parts
Catalogue).
Weekly
Clean the shower screen and shower
screen containment ring as follows:
• Loosen the screw using a screw-
driver (1).
• Remove the shower screen (2)
and the shower screen contain-
ment ring (3).
• Wash the two components with
hot water.
• Reposition the shower screen
and shower screen containment
ring in their original position and
lock everything in place with the
screw.
8.8.6 Cleaning the steam nozzle
Weekly
Clean the steam nozzle as follows:
• Insert the nozzle into a jug with water and a specic
cleaner, in accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
• Heat the solution with the steam nozzle.
• Let the nozzle cool down whilst keep-
ing it immersed in the solution for at
least 5 minutes, so that cleaner can rise
inside the nozzle due to the cooling ef-
fect.
• Repeat the operation 2 or 3 times until
