Quick reference guide - telephone base
/HANDSET LOCATOR
 f Press the button to page all system 
handsets (page 72).
MUTE
 f During a call, press to mute the 
microphone (page 62).
 f While the telephone base is ringing, 
press to silence the ringer temporarily 
(page 62).
 VOLUME 
 f Press to adjust the volume during 
message playback (page 165).
 f Press to adjust the listening volume 
during a call (page 61).
 f When the phone is not in use, press 
to adjust the telephone base ringer 
volume for all lines (page 61).
VOICE
 f Press to activate the voice-controlled 
application of connected cell phone 
(page 36).
MIC
 f Microphone.
USB port
 f The standard size USB port in the 
telephone base is used for charging 
your cell phones.

 f While reviewing a caller ID log entry, 
press repeatedly to add or remove 1 in 
front of the telephone number before 
dialing or saving it in the directory.
 f Press and hold to set (page 45) or 
to dial your voicemail number.
TONE /a>A
 f Press to switch to tone dialing 
temporarily during a call if you have 
pulse service (page 63).
 f While entering names, press to change 
the next letter to upper or lower case.
QUIET# (pound key)
 f Press repeatedly to display other 
dialing options when reviewing a caller 
ID log entry (page 101).
 f Press and hold to enter the QUIET 
mode setting screen, or to deactivate 
QUIET mode (page 52).
