4.4 Install the F/T Demo Software
If a CD is provided with the product, use the CD to install the F/T software. The installation program should
start automatically. If no CD is available, the software can be downloaded from the ATI website at: http://
www.ati-ia.com/Products/ft/Software/SysSoftwareTemplates.aspx click DAQ F/T to download the les.
1. Click the Setup.Exe le found in the root directory. Follow the installation instructions given by the
program.
NOTICE: The calibration le(s) were sent in an e-mail as a zip le attachment. Access to the zip
le is required to install the calibration les.
2. Unpack the FTxxxx.zip le sent from ATI in an e-mail. Calibration les in the unpacked directory are
labelled based on the transducer’s serial number; the les are in the format of FTxxxx.CAL. Select le
with name based on selected transducer and copy the le from the unpacked directory to the program
directory ATI DAQ FT. If the system was ordered with more than one calibration, multiple calibration
les will be available to copy.
3. Run the demo program found in the Start Menu under Programs\ATI DAQ FT\ATI DAQ FT Demo.
Click on the File, then Load Calibration. Find the calibration data le you saved earlier and click the
Open button.

4. The program should be displaying two sets of bar graphs; one labeled Force and the other labeled
Torque.
5. Gently apply load to the transducer without over-ranging the transducer. You should see the bar graphs
respond.
NOTICE: The ATI DAQ demo only works in conjunction with National Instruments DAQ boards.
