5 Transport and storage
5.1 Transport
5.1.1 Checking the cargo
The shipping agent shall be liable for damage that can be traced back without a
doubt to improper transport. The passage of risk is contractually regulated.
1.
Ensure that the delivery item is packed by authorised personnel.
2.
Check the delivered item immediately for transport damage.
3.
Check the delivered item immediately against the packing lists for to ensure
completeness.
4.
Report any irregularities to BAUER KOMPRESSOREN immediately. Complaints
made later cannot be considered.
5.
Never put the machine into operation if it is damaged.
5.1.2 Preparing for transport
1.
Ensure that the packaging and/or vessels are such that the parts inside can
be handled safely and cannot be damaged during the transport.
2.
Ensure that the unit is neither electrically nor pneumatically connected.
3.
Pack loose parts such as tools and accessories in suitable individual packag-
ing.
4.
Secure moving parts on the unit.
5.
Protect electric and electronic components and their connections from mois-
ture and mechanical damage.
