Chapter 2 Preparing for installation
2.1 Safety notice
Before you install, operate, or service the system, read the Safety notice carefully. The
Safety notice contains important safety information you should know before working
with the system.
Only trained and qualified personnel should be allowed to install, replace, or service this
equipment.
2.1.1 Ensure safety as the following principals
Keep the chassis ares clear and dust-free during and after installation;
Put the cover in a safe place;
Put the tools away from walk areas where you and others could fall over them;
If the working environment could cause damage to your eyes, wear protection
glasses;
Do not wear loose clothing that could get caught in the chassis. Fasten your tie
or scarf and roll up your sleeves.
Before working on a chassis or working near power supplies, unplug the power
cord on AC units; disconnect the power at the circuit breaker on DC units.
Do not do anything that causes damage to human or device.
2.1.2 Safety principal of Moving
Because the S6508 chassis is large and weight, before moving the chassis, read the
following note:
S6508 Weight is about 60kg, Avoid to move the chassis frequently.
Two people are required to lift the chassis.Moving the chassis by one person is
forbided.
Avoid sudden twists or moves to prevent injury.When moving the chassis,keep
balance to prevent injury.
Before moving the chassis,Turn off the Power and disconnect all the power
cable.
