Entering a destination - place
If you want to drive to a destination in a place, you first have to specify a place
name.
1 Select the CITY menu item in the navigation menu.
✔ The text input line for entering the place name appears (for further infor-
mation read the section entitled “Entering destinations using the text in-
put line”).
2 When the name of the place you are looking for is displayed, press the
OK button ;.
✔ The name is displayed in the list of destination places.
3 Press the OK button ; to accept the place as your destination.
Note: If there are multiple instances of the town’s name, a submenu
will open. You can then select the required town from it.
Once you have selected the place name, you will be taken to the next step for
entering your destination. Now choose between:
– STREET: To enter the destination street. Whether a street can be en-
tered as a destination depends on the data stored on your navigation
CD.
– CENTRE: To select the centre of a place or the centre of a town district as
your destination.
– SPECial DESTinatioN: You can directly select special destinations within
the surrounding area of your destination from a list of special destina-
tions classified in categories (e.g. motorway junction, train station, shop-
ping centre, etc.). For further information, read the section entitled “Spe-
cial destinations”.
