Displaying scrolling text
Some radio stations use the RDS signal to transmit advertising or other informa-
tion instead of their station name. These scrolling texts appear in the display.
You can deactivate the scrolling text display.
1 Press the MENU button 1.
2 Keep pressing the or button : until NAME and the current setting
(VAR for scrolling text, i.e. variable text, or FIX to stop scrolling text) ap-
pear in the display.
3 Press the
or button : to switch between the options.
4 When you have finished making your changes, press the MENU button
1 or OK ;. If you do not want to apply the changes, press the ESC
button 8.
Switching the RDS function on/off
To use the RDS AF function (AF: If the RDS function is activated, the unit auto-
matically tunes into the best receivable frequency for the station that is currently
set),
1 press the MENU button 1.
2 Keep pressing the or button : until RDS appears in the display. ON
or OFF is displayed alongside RDS.
3 To switch RDS on/off, press the or button :.
✔ The RDS functions are active when RDS lights up in the display.
4 When you have finished making your changes, press the MENU button
1 or OK ;. If you do not want to apply the changes, press the ESC
button 8.
