Cancelling navigation (route guidance)
To cancel an active navigation session,
1 press the ESC button 8.
✔ A confirmation request appears.
If you are sure you want to cancel navigation,
2 press the OK button ;.
Dynamic navigation
During dynamic navigation, the TravelPilot analyses digital traffic information
messages and uses this information when planning the route. The traffic mes-
sages are received from TMC (Traffic Message Channel) stations. These are
RDS stations that additionally broadcast their traffic messages in digital form.
If you want to make a currently active navigation session dynamic,
1 keep the
button = pressed for longer than two seconds during the
navigation session.
✔ Dynamic navigation is active when TMC lights up in the display.
Note: When in dynamic navigation mode, the system must be tuned
to a TMC station during navigation. If no TMC station is set, TMC
flashes. Start TMC seek tuning using the
or button :. TMC
seek tuning can take a long time because the entire frequency range
is scanned for TMC stations. Radio mode is not available during
this time.
Reading TMC messages
The TravelPilot provides the option of displaying the traffic messages received
via TMC (Traffic Message Channel) during dynamic navigation.
1 Keep the TRAF button @ pressed for longer than two seconds.
