Calibrating the device
The installation menu contains all the necessary items for preparing the Travel-
Pilot for operation once it has been installed.
New installation
If the device has been installed, you have the option of carrying out a test to
check that it is working properly. The following device functions and connections
are tested: GPS reception, connection of ignition positive terminal, reversing
light and speedometer connections. After every stage of the test, the result is
displayed as a symbol:
Test successful - a smiling face appears.
Test unsuccessful - a sad face appears.
Note: If a sad face appears, check the connections in the vehicle
and on the device.
1 Switch off the ignition and turn on the device using button 3.
Note: If necessary, enter the numerical code and set the clock.
2 Keep the MENU button 1 pressed down for longer than two seconds.
✔ The installation menu is displayed.
3 Use the
or button : to select the NEW INSTaLLation menu item.
4 Press the OK button ;.
✔ The GPS test begins. If the test was successful, a smiling face appears.
