INTRODUCTION NAVIGATION RADIO MODE CD MODE SETUPCD CHANGER
✔ The latest message appears in the display. The message number and
the number of messages in memory are displayed in the top line. OO1 is
always the latest message. If no messages are stored in memory, an
appropriate notice will be displayed.
2 Use the or
button : to switch between the messages in memory.
3 You can scroll through the text in the message using the or but-
ton :.
4 When you have finished reading the messages, press the ESC button 8.
Note: To ensure that only the data that are relevant to your current
vehicle position are used, the TMC function only processes TMC
messages relating to an area within a radius of 62 mi around your
vehicle position.
NO MAP navigation
NO MAP navigation mode is activated if you remove the navigation CD after
entering the destination and starting the navigation session.
Plus Point: During a NO MAP navigation session, you can use the inter-
nal CD drive to play audio CDs.
If a NO MAP navigation session is active, NO MAP appears at the bottom of the
display and the distance to the destination as the crow flies is displayed in the
symbol area on the right. Furthermore, the direction to the destination is dis-
played continuously.
After re-inserting the navigation CD, it can take several minutes before naviga-
tion with audio and visual driving recommendations is correctly resumed. The
system needs this time to precisely determine the current vehicle position. The
“OFF ROAD” mode may be active for a longer period during this time. In very
built-up areas with a dense road network, position tracking errors may occur
until the system has been able to precisely and correctly orient itself.
