What you need to bring
Customer-supplied tools for cabling
You need to bring the following tools for cabling.
• compression connector crimper
• screwdriver set (standard)
• socket wrench set (standard)
• box wrench set (standard)
• fiber cleaver
• fusion splicer
• Modular MS2 splice tool
Customer-supplied materials for cabling
You need to bring the following materials to install cabling.
• copper pigtail with MS2 terminators, long enough to get to your cross-connect box
• #2 AWG 2-hole compression lug (options are 5/8", 1", or 1 1/4")
• fiber optic cable for splicing into cabinet
• #2 AWG strain relief for ground wire
• #2 AWG strain relief for AC cabling
Test equipment
Depending on the system configuration, the following test equipment may be needed:
• Digital Volt/Ohm meter
• Bit Error Rate tester
• Analog test set (for testing POTS lines)
• DS1 test set
• DS3 test set
• ADSL test set
• Optical power meter
