Troubleshooting steps for HITEMP alarm
Step Action
1.
Open all cabinet doors and remove the lower battery compartment panels.
2.
Verify that the heat exchanger fans are operating by lifting the roof, feeling for
airflow manually, or placing a paper next to the fans to check for airflow.
If the fans are not operating, go to step 6.
If the fans are operating, proceed to the next step.
3.
Verify that the equipment is not exceeding the maximum heat budget for
equipment in the cabinet. (Refer to the appropriate cabinet guide for this
number.)
If the equipment is producing less heat than what is budgeted for
equipment in the cabinet, go to step 7.
If the equipment is producing more heat than what is budgeted for
equipment in the cabinet, proceed to the next step.
4.
Access the Calix C7 equipment with a computer and verify the heat setting for
the shelf or shelves in the cabinet.
If the heat settings do not exceed the budget for the cabinet, go to step
7.
If the heat settings do exceed the budget for the cabinet, proceed to the
next step.
5.
Modify the heat setting so that it is within the heat budget for the cabinet, then
proceed to step 7.
6.
Replace the heat exchanger fans. See heat exchanger module procedure.
7.
Leave the cabinet doors and panels open for approximately 1 hour, or until
the cabinet has cooled to the point that the heat exchanger fans shut off,
whichever comes first.
