cancatchonthesprocketwheelorslideofftheidlerwheelorthesprocketwheel.Cleanthetracksafterwork.
Tocheckthetrackstension,proceedasfollows:
1.Swingtheupperstructureperpendiculartotheun-
dercarriage.Lowertheattachmenttotheground,
thenlowertheboomuntilthetrackisraisedoffthe
ground.Placeablockundertheundercarriageand
raisetheattachmentofftheground.
2.Settheenginespeedknobtothemaximumspeed
position.
3.Operatethetravelcontrollevertomovetheraised
trackforwardandbackwardandshakeoffthemud.
4.Repeatthesameoperationsfortheothertrack.

Checkingthetension
1.Stoptheengine,thenremovethekeyfromthe
starterswitch.
2.Atthecenterofthetrack,measuretheslack(L)
betweenthebottomofthelowerroller(A)andthe
rubbertrackshoe(B).
Thevaluemustbewithin:
130–150mm(5.1–5.9in)forsteeltrack;
39–44mm(1.5–1.7in)forrubbertrack.
3.Adjustthetensionasnecessary,thenlowerthe
tracktotheground.
4.Repeatthesameoperationsfortheothertrack.
