2.Neverllthetankwhentheengineisrunning.
3.Wipeupspilledfuelimmediately.

NOTICE:donotworkinanyenvironmentinwhichanythingotherthanfuelwillgetintofuellines.(Siteswithstrong
wind,blowingdust,etc.).Washhandsbeforeoperations.Donotusegloves.Donotopenthepackagingforthelter
kituntilyoustarttheinstallationwork.Donotreuseanyfuelremainingwithinthecover.Forpersistentdirtwithinthe
cover,wipeitoffwithacleanrag,thencleanwithcleandieselfuel.Donotusepartscleanerbecauseitcouldaffect
thecasecover.Donottouchtheinsideoftheelement.Completelywipeoffanyspilledfuelafterchangingthelter
element.
1.Opentheenginehoodtoaccessthefuellter(1).
2.Closethefuelcockonthewaterseparator.
3.Cleantheareaaroundthefuellterbodyandplacea
containerwithacapacityof2L(0.5USgal)underthe
fuellter.
4.Removethefuellterwithalterwrench,turningitto
theleft.Whenremovingthefuellter,carefullyholdit
topreventspillingoffuel.Wipeupallspilledfuel.
5.Applyathinlmoffueltothesurfaceofthenewfuel
ltergasketbeforetightenit.

6.Installthenewfuellter(1).Turntotherightandtighten
to19.7–23.6N·m(14.5–17.4lbft)andoneadditional
turnusingthelterwrench.
7.Openthefuelcockonthewaterseparator.Startthe
engineandcheckforfuelleakage.
8.Primethefuelsystem.Refertopage6-27.
