Maximum Feeding Speed
Maximum speed for feeding the flatwork
into the Edge Maxx is achieved when the upper
conveyor arm raises before accepting another
piece. As soon as the upper conveyor arm lowers
and takes the piece on the conveyor, feed the next
piece. If the upper conveyor arm does not raise,
this indicates that the feeder is not being pushed to
its maximum intake speed limit. The more often
the upper conveyor arm raises, the closer to the
maximum intake speed you are operating.
Gap Buster Feature
The sensor at the discharge conveyor (PE23)
detects flatwork as it exits the feeder and enters
the next unit. When flatwork is no longer detected,
the discharge conveyor accelerates, bridging the
gap between pieces to compensate for feed rate
variations. This increases the number of pieces
that can be processed through the system and
helps keep the ironer fully covered.
