Required Tools
wrench, grease gun, Shell Darina
®
EP2 Grease or equivalent, clean lint-
free cloth
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Use a grease gun and Shell Darina
®
EP2
Grease, or equivalent.
Wipe the old grease from the bearings.
Place the grease gun nozzle firmly onto
the grease fitting.
Slowly add 1/2 stroke of grease.
Rotate the bearing or its roll 1/2 turn and
add the remaining 1/2 stroke slowly.

CAUTION
Over-lubrication will destroy
the bearing seals and cause
premature failure.
If a slight bead of grease forms at the seal,
STOP adding grease and wipe off the
grease from the bearing. Over lubrication
will destroy the bearing seals and cause
premature failure.
CAUTION
Failure to wipe of excess
lubricant will cause lint to
adhere to the bearings and
may cause premature failure.
Replace any covers and close any endframe
doors.
WARNING
Never operate the unit unless
all safety covers are in place
and all safety equipment is
working correctly.
