11.1 Editing Report Templates
Default templates are included with the tester. You cannot create new templates. You can only edit existing templates.
■ Labels
Default templates for pass and fail labels are included with the tester. These labels print on a 4x2 size label and include
test results, test program name, date, and time. You can also create your own labels with custom text and graphics.
To design label templates, download the free Zebra Designer V2 software. This software allows you to add tokens, images,
and other elements to the label.
● To design labels, download the free software, Zebra Designer V2.
● Add tokens, logos, and other information (see below for acceptable tokens).
● Once you have completed your label design, select the Print to File option to save the label as a .prn label le.
● Follow the steps for Reports to add the new label template to your testser.
Once you have completed your label design, print the label, selecting the Print to File option to obtain a .prn label le.
Replace the current template with the revised version.
■ Reports
Default report templates are provided by Cirris. If you would like to edit these reports, connect your tester to a PC.
Navigate to the hidden reports le (see below) and make any necessary edits to the templates in a text editor. Save the
template as a .prn le and replace the current template with the revised version.
Note: Currently, the font size and stylesuch as boldcannot be changed on reports. Capitalization can be used when
needed for emphasis. This limitation only applies to reports printed from standard page printers. Label templates
formatted using Zebra Designer V2, allow more exibility.
■ Adding Templates to the Tester
Once a template is designed with the information needed, the design can be transferred to the tester in the following
way:
1. Turn o your tester and connect it to a computer using the provided USB cable.
Note: If the tester is running, you will not be able to access it through a PC.
2. On your PC, navigate to the tester through File Explorer. When connected to a computer, the tester will show up as a
removable storage device.
3. The templates will be in the path: <4200 Series>:\~Cirris\System\Reports\
Note: This is a hidden folder. You must show hidden items to access this folder. An IT professional can help you show
hidden items.
4. Add your custom label (.prn le) to the folder.
5. With the template added to the correct folder, turn the tester on.
