71 Tempest®900 4-Channel Wireless Intercom System
Buons on the BeltStaon do not funcon
A number of buons on the BeltStaon can have alternate funcons that the user can select.
If a buon on the BeltStaon is not working as expected, re-conrm all sengs and any alternate funcon assignment
in the menu. The buon may have been reassigned wirelessly from the BaseStaon or by T-Desk. Conrm that the
funcon is available for use. If the reassignment involves any GPO, conrm that menu selecon, the connecons, and
the equipment funconality.
Call Funcon does not work properly
Check to make sure that the CALL funcon is enabled.
Conrm that a TALK buon is enabled for the channel that you wish to call.
A Call signal will be received by the BeltStaon only on the channel(s) that are currently being monitored.
Stage Announce (SA) funcon does not work properly
The Stage buon has two separate funcons. Oponally, it controls the shared Stage relay contact on the back of the
BaseStaon.
» When you press the STAGE buon it reroutes the BeltStaon users microphone to the SA output on the back of
the BaseStaon.
» When pressing the STAGE buon, if there is no audio present at the SA, conrm that the Stage Announce
funcon is enabled in the BeltStaon.
» If the SA relay does not close, ensure that the Stage Relay is enabled in the BeltStaon. If problems persist,
conrm the operaon with another BeltStaon.
Tempest Remote Transceiver
Remote Transceiver RX or TX LEDs do not light
While the Transceiver is properly connected to the BaseStaon, turn the BaseStaon Power Switch to the OFF posion.
Wait for 30 seconds and turn the BaseStaon Power Switch back to the ON posion. This should inialize the Remote
Transceiver. The Cong LED should light momentarily and then go out. Once the Cong LED goes out the Remote Transceiver
TX LED should light. If there are BeltStaons communicang to the BaseStaon through the Remote Transceiver the RX LED
should light as well.
When connecng any shared BaseStaons to any wired intercom system,
only channels connected to the wired system can be shared. A BeltStaon
CALL signal is sent only when the Talk buon is enabled.
To manually re-inialize the Transceiver, power OFF the BaseStaon for at least
15 seconds and power the BaseStaon back ON, with the Transceiver connected.
