Adding a contact
Contacts are used to pre-define the typical calls that you want to
make to another person. For each contact you can define a number
of calls. Each call contains information about:
• the call system that you want to use
• the type of call that you want to make to the contact
• the address or telephone number of the station at which this
contact may be located
To add a contact:
1 From the main menu, select (User Data), then
(Contacts).
1 Select (Contacts) or (Emergency Contacts), as
required.
1 Press (Add).
1 Enter the name that you want to use for the contact, then
press (Add Call).
The HF Network entry is highlighted.
1 Press or to scroll through the available HF networks
until the one you want to use is shown.
1 Press to move to the Call Type entry.
1 Press or to scroll through the available call types until
the one you want to use is shown.
NOTE: The call type that you select affects
information that you can enter for the
remainder of this call.
