  If you are experiencing unclear communications with your Codan Transceiver, try switching to another channel and ensure you press the PTT button. If using a whip or long wire antenna, verify that the antenna selection icon is set to ATU or Auto. For short-distance communication, try positioning the whip horizontally for near vertical incident skywave operation or switch to a long wire antenna. If the issue persists, switch to a dipole or broadband antenna and check that the antenna selection icon is set to 50 or Auto.
