22 Manpack Transceiver 2110 series Reference Manual
There are two ways to use the keys on the front panel. You can:
• press a key, briefly
• hold a key for 2 seconds
The Tick and Cross keys
Press to:
• select the item on the active line in the list
• save changes
• answer ‘yes’ to prompts
Hold to edit settings.
Press to:
• navigate up from settings to entries
• backspace over text
• remove messages on the screen
• cancel changes
• answer ‘no’ to prompts
Hold to go from any location to the home screen. If you have entered text into a
setting and want to discard the changes you made, hold .
The scroll keys
The and keys are the scroll keys. Use these keys to scroll up or down through any
kind of list, to scroll left or right over text, and to increase or decrease a value.
Interface connectors
The interface connector area comprises:
• the 6-way handset connector ( )
• the 19-way GPIO connector ( ) (2110 only)
• the 5-way connector ( ) (2110v only)
• the optional external GPS antenna connector (GPS)
HF antennas
The HF antenna area comprises:
• the antenna stud ( ) for whip antennas and the adaptor for the long wire antenna
• the 50 connector ( ) for broadband and dipole antennas
