6.1 Software
6.1.1 Application Program
The configuration file holds the application parameters for the fire detection
system. See the separate Application Programming Manual for information on how
to create a new configuration file or update an existing file.
CAUTION!
You must have appropriate knowledge on how to use the application program to
make a system configuration file.
In doubtful cases, do not hesitate to contact an authorised service office.
6.1.2 Downloading a Configuration File to a USB
Memory Stick
When you want to backup, view or make changes in an existing configuration file
you can download it from the fire alarm central.
The configuration file can be downloaded using an approved USB memory stick
(available from an authorised dealer).
CAUTION!
Do not remove the USB memory stick until the download is finished.
1 Connect the USB memory stick to the USB port in the control module.
2 Choose Menu » 6 Service menu » 6 Configuration » 3 Save configuration to USB
memory.
3 Choose the current configuration file from the list and press OK.
Supported files are “.ccp”, “espa.bin”, “modbus.bin” and
“modbus1.bin”-“modbus30.bin”.
4 The system will now download the configuration file. Wait until this process is
complete!
5 Disconnect the USB memory stick and copy the configuration file to a PC.
6.1.3 Uploading an Configuration File from a USB
Memory Stick
When you have finished an configuration file it is time to upload it to the fire
detection system. Supported files are “.ccp”, “espa.bin”, “modbus.bin” and

Note that old versions of the application program may affect the upload or system
operations. Use a program version of the application program compatible with the
system version used in your fire detection system.
