9.1 System Modules & Connection Example
Description of system modules
The CFD5000T fire detection system is based on standard modules. Below is a list
of these standard modules:
Control Panel M 4.3
A control panel with a 4.3” display that manages and supervises a system and
can act as bus master or slave.
Repeater M 4.3
A repeater panel with 4.3” display that can act as bus slave.
Control M 2.2
A control panel with a 2.2” display that manages and supervises a system and
can act as bus master or slave.
CS-Loop M
A module with loop-line interface for handling 150 addressable loop units.
CS-Safety M
This module is a data collector for all CS-Loop M modules in the fire detection
system.
Charger M
A module that supervises and controls the power and battery functions.
Bus Isolator M
This module is used for dividing the system backbone bus into segments. It can
provide power to Control Panel M 4.3 and Control M 2.2.

Connection examples
Since all fire detection systems are tailored to each customer installation, no
standard exists for how the different modules are to be connected in the system.
However, in the figure below you will find an example showing the connection
terminals.
