1 Introduction
1 About This Manual
This manual is intended for trained personnel who maintain and service the
CFD5000T fire detection system.
NOTE!
The Service & Maintenance manual is valid for system software revision 1.1.1 and
onwards.
The Service menu in the control panel can be used for maintenance and small
updates as described in the Using the Service Menu (Control Panel CM4.3)
chapter.
Before the installed system is taken into service it has to be determined who will be
responsible for maintenance and service, and a maintenance plan has to be
developed. The one who will be responsible for maintenance and service shall also
be responsible for the chronological documentation of the maintenance and service
activities. For more information see IEC 61508-1:2010 clause 7.7, 7.7.2.1.g, 7.15
and 7.15.2.3.
The Maintenance chapter describes preventive maintenance tasks, such as testing
procedures and cleaning instructions.
For repair and service related tasks refer to chapter Replacement and Service and
chapter Troubleshooting.
DANGER!
No deviations from approved drawings or modifications of the fire detection system
are allowed without agreement from Consilium.
