10-4 Parameters
10.2 Virtual parameters
Virtual parameters are special parameter which are not part of the standard
parameter-set of the Drive. Virtual parameters exist only in the UD70 and
are used for the following:
Accessing values not present as standard Drive parameters
(eg. encoder counters)
Accessing Drive parameters at a faster rate
Accessing Drive parameters at an increased resolution
Accessing
UD70 parameters such as Timer/counter Unit control
parameters, I/O Box data, etc
Virtual parameters can be accessed by a DPL program or by serial
communications. The virtual menus are explained in the following order:
90, 91, 70 ~ 73, 85, 86, 88, 80
Menu 90
General parameters
Note that update rate codes L2 and L3 in the following table are explained at
the end of the table. Where no update rate is shown, it does not apply.
Parameter Description
#90.01 Main encoder/resolver position (RO)
#90.03 Auxiliary encoder position (RO)
#90.05 Used only when a SIN-COS encoder option module is fitted in the
Drive and the Drive software is version 3 or higher
Number of revolutions of a
SIN-COS encoder (RO)
Update rate: L2
#90.06 Used only when a SIN-COS encoder option module is fitted in the
Drive and the Drive software is version 3 or higher
Position of a
SIN-COS encoder (RO)
#90.6 indicates only the eight least significant bits.
Update rate: L2
#90.10 Drive mode identifier (RO)
Codes are as follows:
16 Open Loop
17 Closed Loop Vector
18 Servo
#90.11 Drive status and control word
#90.11 indicates the value of the Drive status parameter (#10.40).
The control word can be written to #90.11 as shown in the
following table.
