ES601Plus OPERATING MANUAL
Fig u re 35 - Break if "STOP AFTER..." is "set to YES".
For IEC60601 and AAMI-ES1 standards, AC supply conditions will be tested in the following
order, according to test conditions initially specified by the user on the leakage setup menu:
1 Reverse polarity; Line 2 (neutral) in single-fault condition (RP:SF L2O)
2 Reverse polarity; supply in normal condition (RP:NC) or with earth (ground) in
single-fault condition (RP:SF EO)
3 Normal polarity; Line 2 in single-fault condition (NP:SF L2O)
4 Normal polarity; supply in normal condition (NP:NC) or with earth in single-fault
condition (NP:SF EO)
At each configuration (1.)-(4.) of the AC supply, measurements of enclosure and earth leakage are
performed. Following these measurements, patient and auxiliary (lead-to-lead) leakage will be
measured if those tests were enabled by the user on the setup menu.
When ES601Plus changes the AC supply from SF:L2O to NC, and if "STOP AFTER..." of the
Sequence Controls is "NO" (Fig u re 31), ES601Plus will pause according to the "POWER-UP
DELAY" setting before proceeding to measure the leakage. This delay of 2 to 9 seconds allows the
DUT to startup up and stabilize before leakage readings are taken. Alternatively, if "STOP
AFTER..." of the Sequence Controls is "YES", ES601Plus will change the AC supply from SF:L2O
to NC and wait until you press the CONTINUE button:
