If there is a mismatch in fan-out profile between master and the new member in stacking, the master
re-configures the member with its quad-mode profile, quad-mode, and stack-group configuration
and then reset the member. To avoid stack split during profile mismatch, the master does stack group
configurations of the new member.
To configure the quad-port-profile, use the following command:
CONFIGURATION mode
stack-unit [stack-unit number] quad-port-profile [default|list of ports]
The range of the stack-unit number is from 0 to 5. The defaults ports are:
2,4,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,27,29,31
Example:
stack-unit 0 quad-port-profile[default|list of ports]
To display the Fan-out capability profile, use the following show command:
show system stack-unit quad-port-profile

Splitting QSFP Ports to SFP+ Ports
The platform supports splitting a single 40G QSFP port into four 10G SFP+ ports using one of the
supported breakout cables (for a list of supported cables, refer to the
Installation Guide or the Release
Notes).
NOTE: You can split the 40G ports to 10G ports and vice —versa without reloading the device.
To split a single 40G port into four 10G ports, use the following command.
