8.1 Connecting the optional equipment
(a) Optional equipment can be connected to the AC adapter, the external printer and the RS-232C
connector cable.
(b) The RS-232C of this product is non-isolated type.
(c) See the followings for the connection method and function.
Waterproofing
●
The waterproof structure (IP67) for the instrument unit functions onl
with the sensor module, the battery cover, the AC adapter cover, and
the I/O cover correctly installed.
●
Do not remove the sensor module or do not clean it with water o
touch it with wet hands with the battery cover, the AC adapter cove
or the input-output cover open. Also, do not install or store it in places
where there is a risk of ingress by chemicals or water.
(1) Connecting AC adapter

IMPORTANT

Use only our optional parts for the AC adapter. Do not use any third part
parts. It will cause inaccurate measurement or instrument failures.
① Confirming the power is off …… Please check that the power supply of the instrument
unit is off.
② Connecting output plug …… Remove the AC adapter cover of the instrument and
connect the special output plug for the AC adapter (optional) to the AC adapter input connector.
③ Connecting to power socket
…… Connect the power supply side plug of the AC
adapter (optional) to the power socket.
④ Turning on power …… Turn on (ON) the power of the instrument. [Measurement Screen]
in “Measurement State” (with
turned off) is shown.
