CHAPTER 3 STARTING BINDING OPERATION
When Binding Operations are Interrupted
If you interrupt the light between the safety sensors during binding operations (when the lamp is off),
the operations will stop. When you remove your hand from the sensor area, the following messages
are displayed alternately.
When the clamp has returned to the level plate, messages are displayed depending on the situation.
When interrupted after a cover is applied to a book block
Paper ejection button
1) Check that the spine glue is not hot and press the paper ejection button on the touch
panel screen.
A booklet will be ejected to the stacker.
2) Remove the booklet from the stacker.
3) Check the quality of the booklet.
Spine glue is very hot. Before you remove the booklet, make sure that it is not hot.
When interrupted before a cover is applied to a book block
Movable clamp button
1) Check that the spine glue is not hot and press the movable clamp button on the touch
panel screen.
The movable clamp will open.
2) Remove the booklet from the clamp.
3) Place a new book block in the clamp.
Spine glue is very hot. Before you remove the booklet, make sure that it is not hot.
Because parts of binding processes have already been applied to the book block in
the clamp, if you try to continue the operation using that book block, the finished
booklet will have poor quality. Replace a book block in the clamp with a new one.
