Proper setting
Adjust the stop screw (12) in such a way that the distance of the folder sole
to the sliding plate (depending on the fabric) is approx. 1-2 mm when
the folder is lowered.
The incorporated spring presses the folder back such that the piping
strip is reliably seized during sewing (the cylinder is depressurized during
the last section of the backward movement).
To set the stop screw with spring:
1. Turn the stop screw (12) far enough back to ensure that it does not
rest on the stop (11).
2. Loosen the nut (9).
3. Turn the piston rod (10) such that the distance between folder sole
and fabric sliding plate (7) is 0.2 mm.
4. Tighten the nut (9).
5. Loosen the nut (6).
6. Turn the eccentric screw (5) such that the folder sole is parallel to
the fabric sliding plate (7) along its entire length.
7. Tighten the nut (6).
8. Tighten the stop screw (12) to adjust it to the material thickness you
wish to sew.
