The Enhanced Contractor Board is available as an option. This expanded version allows for additional
connection points of previously discussed interfaces as well as additional high end interface options (Figure 12).
NOTE Remote relays can accept dry contacts rated up to 2A/250V.
The Contractor Boards have multiple applications in Eaton PDI products and not all connections are supported
on the STS 2000A. The following connections are not currently supported on this product:
• Inter-Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) time codes
• Cell-phone modem connection

The STS has an isolated RS422/RS485 Modbus RTU interface with soft bias provided. Both Contractor Boards
have external connections for RS422/RS485. The Modbus interface can be configured for baud rate, parity, and
address on the Settings screen (See 11.1 Settings Screen). The address range is 1 to 255 and the address of
each device must be unique. Jumpers on the monitor circuit board select either a 2-wire or 4-wire
configurations for connection.
