The maintenance should be performed in accordance with the supplied
documents, in line with the manufacturer's specifications.
11.4 Maintenance work on the WILDEN compressed air diaphragm pump P.025 in
the Lubo-DryExx
®
, article no. 182831
Prior to disassembly, draw a marking line from each pump chamber to the
corresponding air chamber. These marking lines simplify alignment of the parts
during the reassembly process.
WARNING!
– Wear protective glasses.
– Switch of
f the compressed air supply.
– Remove the compressed air hose from the compressed air valve to allow
the pressure to escape from the hose.
– Insulate pump with insulating valves to prevent process fluid from the pipes.
– Place the pump on its head to allow all fluid contained in the valve balls to
escape.
– Add a marking line from each pump chamber to the corresponding air
chamber. These marking lines simplify alignment of the parts during the
reassembly process.
Note the following points when carrying out maintenance work:
n Inspection of compressed air valve piston and housing:
– Ensure that the piston is moving freely
.
– Remove foreign bodies.
n Diaphragms:
– Ensure that there are no swellings, cracks or other damage.
n Valve balls/valve seats/o-rings:
– Ensure that there are no swellings, cracks or other damage.
– Lubricate piston rod as necessary.
For the following parts, a preventative maintenance plan should be set up to
ensure that the pump is maintained before wear-related failures occur
