Orientation of the coil relative to the current flow
If possible, secure the coil around the conductor (cable, insulated power rail, or the like) with a cable
tie. Make sure that the coil does not take on too large of a phase displacement (see Fig. 9).
With a phase displacement > +/-5° the rel.
measuring deviation also increases and thus the rel.
deviation of the measured amperage and the
resulting computed values (e.g. output).
Unlike conventional transformers, the design of the econ coils guarantees that there is no danger from
open secondary connections.
