7 Initial operation
Necessary conditions:
- The instrument has been assembled correctly as described in Chapter 5
- The instrument has been connected in accordance with the possible connection types
and taking into consideration the safety measures and technical parameters contained in
Chapters 5 and 11
- The Ethernet cable has been connected.
Steps for initial operation
1.) Check of connections
Before switching the instrument on, check that all cable connections to the econ sens3 were
produced as described in Chapter 5.
2.) Application of supply voltage
3.) Application of the measurement voltage
4.) Application of the current measurement
5.) Parameterization of the instrument
6.) Plausibility check of measurement values
Open the web interface of the instrument (see Chapter 8.1) and check first the time settings and the
display in the Measurement menu.
Without connected load, you should at least see the voltage there. If a load is connected, verify the
measurement result if possible.
If you do not see any measurement values despite connected load, proceed according to the Fehler! V
