5.5 Current measurement connection
Current measurement with the econ sens3 is not performed over transformers but instead over the
econ sens3 coils (Rogowski coils) included in the scope of delivery.
Installation of the current sensors
To install the current sensors (Rogowski coils), place these as shown in Fig. 8 around the conductor to
be measured. This can be a cable or also an insulated power rail.
Push the free cable end into the end of the coil until it latches in place. The coil must form a closed
circuit around the conductor.
Current direction
The label affixed to the coil must be oriented in such a way that it points toward the user. This ensures
correct direction of flow of the current through the coil.
Also make sure that the respective sensor matches the phase of the voltage path (coil L1 to phase L1,
etc.).

Failure to comply will result in bodily harm, including death, or property damage.
Never place the econ coil around a bare or uninsulated power rail!
