Model 340:
This stitch is ideal for finishing edges of stretch fabrics. I
t
seams and finishes the fabric edges simultaneously.
Place the edge of the fabric next to the guide of foot and
sew while guiding the fabric edge along the guide.
6 Guide
CAUTION:
Do not set the stitch width less than 5 when using th
e
overedge foot C, otherwise the needle may hit the foo
t
causing the needle to bend or break.
Model 320:
Place the fabric to leave a 5/8" (1.6 cm) allowance.
Trim the extra allowance after sewing.
3-Step Zigzag
Machine setting
Stitch: 3
Stitch width: 3 – 5
Stitch length: 0.5 – 1.5
Thread tension: 3 – 6
Presser foot: A
This stitch is used to finish a raw edge on synthetics and
other fabrics that tend to pucker.
Place the fabric to leave a 5/8" (1.6 cm) allowance.
Trim the extra allowance after sewing.
It is also used for mending tears.
